Founding Mechanical Engineer

About the role

You will be one of the first mechanical engineers at Hyle, working at Factory 01 — Southern Foundry — where our systems meet real machines.

The work spans production cells, fixturing, and the physical infrastructure our software stack drives. You will sit next to the researchers building Eidos and Techne, because the problems do not divide cleanly.

What you'll do

1. 01Design, build, and iterate production cells and fixtures at Factory 01
2. 02Take parts from CAD through machining, inspection, and revision
3. 03Work with the Eidos and Techne teams to make manufacturing knowledge explicit
4. 04Own real hardware: machines, metrology, automation
5. 05Set the standard for how Hyle engineers physical systems
