HYLE INDUSTRIES

Role 02Careers

Software engineer

  • Marietta, Georgia on site
  • Full time
  • Founding team
  • Manufacturing systems

The systems that turn a file into a part, and a part into data.

01Hyle

Hyle Industries is building intelligence-native infrastructure for engineering and manufacturing: models that understand engineering, geometry, and manufacturing end to end, an API that exposes manufacturing to software, and a factory that makes the parts. The goal is to collapse the time between an idea and a physical part.

02The role

manufacturing.dev takes a part file and returns a quote, a DFM result, an order, and in the end the inspection data from the finished part. You will own the backend that does that: the geometry pipeline that reads, repairs, and analyses models at scale, the services around it, and the machines they run on. You will be equally at home in the code and on the shop floor, and you will own the systems that connect the two.

03You will

  • Build and own the services that process, analyse, and repair 3D models at scale.
  • Develop the tooling for mesh repair, feature detection, and DFM analysis across the processes we run: milling, turning, waterjet, and additive.
  • Apply machine learning to geometry where it earns its place: manufacturability, process selection, cost.
  • Design and ship the API, SDK, CLI, and MCP surfaces, and the Linux infrastructure under them.
  • Own the architecture and the technical decisions. You decide how it gets built, and you make it work.

04You bring

  • Fluency in Python or another backend language of your choice.
  • Experience manipulating 3D models in code: mesh repair, feature detection, and the formats (STEP, STL, 3MF).
  • Experience building and consuming APIs, and building command line tools.
  • Comfort standing up and running Linux servers.

05Nice to have

  • Applied machine learning on 3D data.
  • Exposure to DFM and to the processes: 3D printing (FDM, SLA, SLS), CNC milling and turning, 2D cutting (laser, waterjet, plasma), and CAM.
  • 3D visualisation on the web.
  • Performance work in a systems language.
  • A record of owning system architecture end to end.
  • Day to day fluency with agentic coding tools.

06What we expect

You move fast and you sweat the details. You take responsibility for the whole system, not just your piece of it. You push to make everything around you better.

07Compensation

$90,000 to $140,000 salary, plus a meaningful equity package. Pay varies with experience and with what you bring.

Health, dental, and vision cover. Relocation to Marietta if you need it.
