HYLE INDUSTRIES

Role 05Careers

Mechanical engineer

  • Marietta, Georgia on site
  • Full time
  • Founding team
  • Design and validation

Design real parts, cut them, measure them, and hand the models the truth.

01Hyle

Hyle Industries is building intelligence-native infrastructure for engineering and manufacturing: models that understand engineering, geometry, and manufacturing end to end, an API that exposes manufacturing to software, and a factory that makes the parts. The goal is to collapse the time between an idea and a physical part.

02The role

Eidos and manufacturing.dev are only right if the parts are right. You will design the parts and assemblies we test them on, run analysis and simulation, get them made at Factory 01, and measure the result. What you learn becomes the evaluation the models are trained and judged against, and the DFM rules the API enforces.

03You will

  • Design parts and assemblies for real loads and real processes, from concept through drawing.
  • Run structural and thermal analysis, and set up the simulations the models learn from.
  • Take designs through the shop: fixturing, machining, inspection. Own the drawing package.
  • Build the evaluation set: designs with known answers, and the measured truth behind them.
  • Work with the researchers on what an engineering agent should reason about, and how to tell when it is wrong.

04You bring

  • A degree in mechanical engineering or the equivalent, and evidence of parts you designed that were made and worked.
  • CAD and FEA fluency; GD&T; tolerance analysis.
  • Comfort in a shop, and with the difference between a drawing and a part.
  • Clear writing: a drawing, a test report, a specification.

05Nice to have

  • Scripting: Python, CAD APIs.
  • Electronics and mechatronics.
  • Design for additive.
  • Metrology.

06What we expect

You move fast and you sweat the details. You take responsibility for the whole system, not just your piece of it. You push to make everything around you better.

07Compensation

Salary and equity set by the role and by your experience, and stated in the first conversation. Health, dental, and vision cover. Relocation to Marietta if you need it.
